Amy P. Jones, Photographer
Amy bought her first camera from the Memphis zoo circa 1990. It was a red, manual 110, similar to the one featured on this page. Did you even know such a camera existed? At that time, she gravitated towards buildings and abandoned structures as subjects. It was once her family became center stage that people encouraged Amy to pursue her passion and talent. Much of her work to date is composed of things and people she photographed for personal enjoyment but later shared for commercial use.
Amy has participated in two photography workshops through the University of Missouri and hopes to ever increase her knowledge of how to capture life in stills. She earned her Master in Social Work in 2006 from the University of Missouri and became a Licensed Advanced Practice Social Worker in 2011. She obtained her Bachelor's in Psychology
from LaGrange College in 2004.
Amy participated in her first art show in August 2010 and her first art fair in November 2010. She continues to look for ways to share her work with others. Be sure to check out the events page for upcoming viewings or hit "contact us" if you have an idea of where her art can be featured. Amy produces bookmarks, magnets, and greeting cards in addition to prints.
